CaesiumTerra Moons Caesium Shimmer Eyeshadow ($6.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a dark, golden pewter with subtle, warm undertones and a bright, high-shine metallic finish. It had opaque color coverage with a smooth, very creamy texture–it felt like silk and almost wet with how refined it was. It applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well. There was a bit of creasing present after eight and a half hours of wear. FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent). Top Dupes
Formula Overview$6.00/0.05 oz. - $120.00 Per Ounce The formula is supposed to be "blendable" and "pigmented" with "a bit of kick up" when used due to being "pressed by hand." Some shades come with "additional information" such as being sheerer on the brand's website (for that particular shade) or to use a "glitter primer" due to the finish. I found that some matte shades were more noticeably powdery than others, but whether there was just a little bit of powderiness or more noticeable powderiness really depended on a shade. The neon shades were the most powdery and hardest to work with on their own; some had more specific tips/guidance on how to work with them, which I felt was great for disclosure, but it could get hard to remember what shade needs to be applied in such and such fashion since it really did vary a lot shade by shade. The darker and less neon matte shades tended to perform the best for me--more pigmentation, better blendability, and were easier to work with and were more consistent. Most shades--matte and more shimmery--were pigmented, easy to blend, and applied well to bare skin. They lasted between seven and eight hours with most closer to eight hours before fading (more of the mattes) or creasing (some of the more intense metallics). Quick Shop: Terra MoonsRubidiumTerra Moons Rubidium Shimmer Eyeshadow ($6.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a light, golden bronze with a strong, metallic finish and faint sparkle. The texture was smooth, creamy, and easy to work with as it wasn’t too thick but not prone to being powdery or being overly emollient on the lid (despite feeling so silky!). It wore nicely for eight and a half hours before creasing slightly. FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent). Top Dupes

Quick Shop: Terra MoonsPalladiumTerra Moons Palladium Shimmer Eyeshadow ($6.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a muted, rosy copper with warm undertones and a high-shine, metallic finish. It wasn’t as warm-toned or as reddish for a true rose gold, and as a result, it almost fit in better as a very dark, warm-toned mauve shade when I went looking for similar hues. The consistency was incredibly smooth and cream-like without being too thick or too densely-pressed into the pan. I’d almost say the texture had some fragility to it so a lighter hand was all that was necessary to pick up opaque coverage. It lasted well for eight and a half hours before creasing a touch. Espresso (377)Sephora Espresso (377) Colorful EyeshadowSephora Espresso (377) Colorful Eyeshadow ($9.00 for 0.042 oz.) is a medium-dark, chocolate brown with moderate, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had opaque color payoff that adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out well along the edges. The texture was smooth to the touch, firm and dense without being thick or overly stiff, so there wasn’t fallout but it picked up well with a dry brush. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading a bit. FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent). Top Dupes
Formula Overview$9.00/0.042 oz. - $214.29 Per Ounce The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented" and wear for "10 hours" while being blendable and layerable. There are three finishes, and I found that the quality did differ depending on the finish more than anything else. The glitter finish was comprised of a mix of more matte and glitter-packed shades, where glitter would fallout during application and often were under-pigmented, along with denser, more silicone-heavy glittery shades with the latter applying and holding up better on the lid as it adhered better, though they typically didn't have great pigmentation. The matte eyeshadows were medium to opaque in coverage but often buildable with fairly soft, thinner textures with some powderiness, though there were some definite winners in the bunch. The shimmer eyeshadows were more often quite pigmented with moderately dense, smooth textures that were easy to use, but there were a few that had a little too much slip or were too dry and so application wasn't impressive without a dampened brush or an eyeshadow primer underneath it. The wear was between six and eight hours. Each eyeshadow can be lifted out of the compact by opening using the second opening along the bottom of the compact. The lip of the first opening is what keeps the eyeshadow in place within the compact itself. I thought it was clever and made for easy removal, though the overall component felt a little lightweight to the point that it did feel flimsy. These are a revamp of the previous Colorful Eyeshadow range, which ran for $10.00 but contained 0.07 oz. or $142.86/oz. while the new ones are $190.48/oz. I think these would be more viable if the price point was $6.00, which would have made them the same price per ounce as the previous formula. The $8.00 price point makes them more expensive than MAC and on par with Anastasia (both of which have more eyeshadow per pan, too), but the Sephora house brand has always seemed to priced below mid-end, so the price point on this doesn't quite make sense. Soft Suede (378)Sephora Soft Suede (378) Colorful EyeshadowSephora Soft Suede (378) Colorful Eyeshadow ($9.00 for 0.042 oz.) is a darker, peachy-coral with warm, rosy undertones and metallic finish. This shade looked totally different applied and swatched compared to the pan–I did a double-take (and had to check my labeling!) on this one. It had opaque color coverage with a smooth, moderately dense texture that picked up well with a dry brush and had good adhesion to bare skin. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly. It had rich color coverage paired with a creamy, moderately emollient consistency that was easy to apply as it didn’t emphasize my lip texture and was more forgiving of imperfections. It lasted well for four hours and felt lightly moisturizing. FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent). Top Dupes
Formula Overview$40.00/0.11 oz. - $363.64 Per Ounce The formula is supposed to have "intense colour" and a "high-shine finish" that is "longwearing" and "hydrating." The majority of the shades had semi-opaque to opaque coverage with a few having more translucent coverage. The color typically applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging or settling noticeably into my lip lines. The texture was emollient, more like a lipstick-lip-balm hybrid with moderate slip and a tendency to be more yielding as it warmed up against my lips, though it didn't start off stiff or firm either. I found that most shades were flattering on my lips as they were more forgiving of imperfections in texture. While they weren't particularly long-wearing--more like three to five hours with deeper, red-based shades lasting the longest--they were comfortable, moisturizing, and not prone to feathering/bleeding. They had a floral scent but no discernible taste. Browse all of our Chanel Rouge Coco Bloom Lip Colour swatches. Season (126)Chanel Season (126) Rouge Coco Bloom Lip Colour ($40.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark fuchsia pink with subtle, cool undertones and a natural sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without emphasizing my natural lip texture or settling into my lip lines. The texture was lightweight, smooth, and balm-like, so it was thin and emollient with enough slip that it went on without tugging but didn’t slide around during wear. It stayed on nicely for four and a half hours, left a light stain behind, and was hydrating. FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent). via Temptalia https://ift.tt/3yPSjlw UtopiaTerra Moons Utopia Matte Eyeshadow ($6.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium pink with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-sheer to medium coverage paired with a drier, more powdery texture that was slightly thin. The product was more prone to fallout and sheering out when applied to my skin, though it blended out evenly. It lasted for seven and a half hours before fading visibly.
Quick Shop: Terra MoonsStar CrazyTerra Moons Star Crazy Neon Matte Pressed Pigment ($6.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium-dark lavender with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was soft to the touch, but it was thinner and very powdery; you could really see the pigment disperse in a lil’ cloud of lavender when applied or blended out. It had semi-sheer pigmentation that was hard to work with on bare skin, and even regular eyeshadow primer was so-so. I’d recommend using a tackier base, like a cream eyeshadow, which gave it something to hold onto. There were signs of fading after seven and a half hours of wear. It was intensely pigmented and had a lightly creamy, moderately dense texture that wasn’t too thick or too thin. Champagne Please (372)Sephora Champagne Please (372) Colorful EyeshadowSephora Champagne Please (372) Colorful Eyeshadow ($9.00 for 0.042 oz.) is a light gold with moderate, warm undertones and a metallic finish. The eyeshadow had opaque pigmentation but had to be applied with a heavier hand to blend it out. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading a bit. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which gave it a more cream-like finish compared to some other shades in the range (those tended to look more balmy). The texture was smooth, moderately dense but lightweight to wear with a creamy feel and moderate slip. The color applied evenly to my lips, though there was a touch of product that settled into my deeper lip lines–not enough to be noticeable from a normal viewing distance (just in the close-up photo). It lasted well for three and a half hours and felt moisturizing over time.
Opportunity (112)Chanel Opportunity (112) Rouge Coco Bloom Lip Colour ($40.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a light-medium brown with muted, warm undertones and a cream finish. The lipstick was richly pigmented with a smooth, creamy consistency that had moderate slip but didn’t settle visibly into my lip lines (even over time).
