SpoonColourPop Spoon Super Shock Cheek (Highlighter) ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) has a warmer, peachy-gold base with silvery-beige shimmer and faint sparkle throughout that gives it a soft, luminous lit-from-within glow. It had more opaque coverage when applied with a fingertip and sheerer, more buildable coverage when applied with a stippling brush, as marketed. The consistency was emollient to the touch, but the product came away in very thin layers that felt more powder-like once it came into contact with skin, so it was quick to dry down but remained blendable. It wore well for nine hours on me before fading visibly. * This shade was brought back for a limited time by ColourPop to celebrate Temptalia’s 15th anniversary. Top Dupes

Trio of TerrorColourPop Trio of Terror Jelly Much Shadow Trio ($28.00 for 0.51 oz.) is a new, limited edition trio of cream eyeshadows. They are also available individually for $10 each. All three shades were pigmented, blendable, and pretty easy to use, as they are fluid and cream-like initially but don’t dry down too quickly (nor too slowly), and once they’re on, they are very long-wearing. Note: readers have reported issues with this formula drying out faster than other cream eyeshadows — I know I’m not alone when wishing these came in squeeze tubes! I’ve had one or two dry out after a year, but I don’t keep most of mine (no matter how much I love the color) because I don’t have the time to really go back so I avoid keeping liquid/cream-based products knowing that.

LockLock has a blackened purple base with cooler undertones paired with lighter blue, lavender, and violet sparkle throughout. The cream-based product enabled the sparkles to actually apply evenly and adhere to the base color. The consistency felt very emollient and wet to the touch, but it yielded opaque coverage that applied well to bare skin and dried down fast enough not to settle into fine lines (but I had enough time to work). It stayed on well for 10 hours without showing signs of wear. FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent). Top Dupes
Formula Overview$8.00/0.23 oz. - $34.78 Per Ounce The formula is supposed to have "high impact" in a "single swipe" that's longwearing, "won't crease, fade or transfer" and "dries down to a powder finish with zero fall out." These are water-based, so they feel wet and cooling when initially applied, but the reality is that so little product is needed to get coverage on the lid that I didn't feel it was watery or thin when I actually patted it onto my lid with a brush. I would recommend using less than you think you'll need, and while fingertips can be used to apply, I liked the control of flat, synthetic brushes gave me as fingertips (for me!) applied far more product than needed. If you over-apply, it can feel wet and take longer to dry down, and it ends up taking too long and can pull into creases/fine lines on the lid. If I used about what I needed (there was some wiggle room), it dried down quickly and set to a transfer-resistant/crease-resistant finish. It was harder to blend out once dry, though, and if I wasn't careful, more vigorous blending could disturb and cause the eyeshadow to flake slightly. They are easier to use than they look, and I think they're quite good overall, though a couple of shades were less stellar. They have a high-shine finish, though I think the more metallic powder and cream eyeshadows give a similar look that I wasn't convinced that the finish on these was above and beyond products that might be easier to use/more user-friendly. I'm not sure that the pot was the best way to go, as the product dries out extremely quickly; to the point where I would advise closing the product after you've taken product out of it, don't let it sit open while you're applying the rest of your makeup--you will see and feel parts of it dry out. I found the packaging to be rather messy, and I have bits of product along the edge of the jar, along the rim, and it's fiddly to move the stopper from the opening to the lid and back again. I wonder if a squeeze tube might be less messy and make it easier to control the amount of product picked up while also preventing the product from drying out too readily. WARNING: This formula seems to dry out within months; some readers report a couple of months and others more like a six-month window. I don't keep the majority of cream-based products (since I don't return to most products after reviewing), including these, but of the few I still have, there is a definite change in consistency--slightly drier--after six months, sometimes more or less. I had a couple that were closer to the year mark, and one was still usable but the other was quite dried down. Browse all of our ColourPop Jelly Much Eyeshadow swatches.

ShockShock is a bright, medium-dark fuchsia pink with subtle, cool undertones and a sparkling sheen. It had rich color payoff paired with a wet, emollient texture that felt cool to the touch and remained more fluid and cream-like during the initial application to skin but dried down to a transfer-resistant finish. BarrelBarrel has a rosy-brown base with warm undertones and green-gold contrasting shimmer and sparkle. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, and it felt like a little product went a long way, so I’d recommend using less than you think you’ll need (you can always build up as the formula was buildable). The texture was very wet to the touch, but it ended up being much easier to work with than expected as the product went on evenly, blended out well along the edges, and dried down fast enough not to settle into my fine lines. It lasted for 10 hours without fading or creasing on me. FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent). Top Dupes

The HangarThe Hangar is a pale gray with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. The texture was more substantial, which gave it a velvety feel and better, more opaque color coverage that adhered to skin without immediately sheering out as very light mattes often can. This shade showed signs of fading after seven and a half hours on me. FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent). Top Dupes
Formula Overview$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours. The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush. Browse all of our ColourPop Pressed Powder Shadow swatches.

Pegasus CityPegasus City is a bright, cornflower blue with strong, cool undertones and flecks of silver sparkle over a matte finish. The sparkles didn’t translate much to the lid, and there was light fallout during application of both sparkles and some of the actual blue powder as it had a fairly powdery texture. It had mostly opaque pigmentation that sheered out somewhat, so I’d use it over an eyeshadow primer to give it better hold. It wore well for seven hours before fading noticeably. It had nearly opaque color coverage that applied evenly and comfortably across my lips without tugging. The texture was lightly creamy, smooth, and lightweight without being overly emollient, so it stayed in place well. There was a touch of product in my deeper lip lines but not enough to be noticeable in person. It wore well for over six hours, left a strong stain behind, and felt hydrating while worn. Formula Overview$7.00/0.12 oz. - $58.33 Per Ounce The formula that is supposed to be a "creamy-matte" that "glides on like butter, doesn't feather or bleed, and lasts so long you'll forget you're even wearing it." The majority of the shades were quite pigmented with full color payoff in a single stroke with a few in the more semi-opaque coverage range. The texture was, on average, smooth, lightly creamy, and not too thick or too thin, so there was no tugging during application but the color didn't feel slippery while worn, which made them easier to apply straight from the tube and low-maintenance on the lips. They tend to dry and wear down to a soft matte finish within one to three hours of wear, and while they are very lightweight on, they hug the lips more as they become more matte (compared to initial feel). The wear time has been between four and six hours for most shades, and most shades were non-drying to lightly hydrating. They were vanilla-scented but had no discernible taste. Oogie BoogieColourPop Oogie Boogie Lux Lipstick ($7.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark peach with moderate, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had opaque color payoff paired with a creamy, smooth consistency that was lightweight with moderate slip. SallyColourPop Sally Lux Lipstick ($7.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a vivid, deeper magenta with cool, blue undertones and a satin finish. It had opaque pigmentation, but the texture seemed a little too emollient as it was prone to settling into my deeper lip lines and didn’t apply as evenly to the inner area of my lips. Otherwise, the lipstick had a creamy feel, which made it comfortable to apply and to wear, and it did leave a strong stain behind. It was a shade I’d apply over a lip liner or lip primer, or barring those, blotted down a bit, which reduced some of the slip and smoothed out the color (but also made it more matte). It stayed on well for over six hours and felt hydrating while worn. FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent). Top Dupes
It wasn’t flat and wasn’t overtly shimmery, which made it very flattering on bare skin or on top of foundation without mattifying too heavily. The texture was smooth to the touch, finely-milled without being powdery, but it wasn’t too firmly-pressed that it became stiff or difficult to pick up. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation, which was more coverage than marketed, so use a lighter hand for true, buildable coverage if desired. The bronzer applied well and blended out nicely on my skin. It wore well for eight hours before fading a bit. FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent). Top Dupes
Formula Overview$31.00 - The formula is supposed to be "buildable" and "easy to use" with a "light-as-air, non-powdery texture" that lasts for "12 [hours]." The coverage was more semi-opaque to opaque, but the texture was forgiving and lived up to the "non-powdery" claim so a lighter hand was all that was necessary to pick up less product. The texture was smooth, silky, and finely-milled with a firmer press that wasn't stiff, so product picked up readily on a brush but was easy to control. The powders applied well to bare skin as well as over foundation, as they diffused easily, blended out and sat flatteringly on skin. They had a more "natural" matte finish where they did not appear totally flat and matte but weren't overtly shimmery either. The shades lasted between eight and nine hours on me before showing signs of fading, and most shades had around 70% of product visible at the 12-hour mark. via Temptalia https://ift.tt/3EwScNX Nightmare Before ChristmasColourPop Nightmare Before Christmas 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($18.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new, limited edition eyeshadow palette that includes six matte eyeshadows, one sparkly matte eyeshadow, and five shimmery eyeshadows. They were pigmented, blendable, and long-wearing overall with only one shade that I’d consider to be an actual miss with a few others being a little powdery during use but nothing that resulted in poorer application. I felt like they performed consistently with ColourPop’s formula.

Dear FriendDear Friend is a deep, mauvy-brown with muted, warm undertones and a matte finish. This was an intriguing shade; it was mauve, it was taupe, it was brown, but it fit in best with mauves because it was too grayish and muted to fit well with most browns but then too warm and not gray enough for taupes. It’s not as rosy as I’d normally expect when classifying as a mauve, though. I love when a color doesn’t want to fit neatly into a category! It had opaque pigmentation paired with a soft, blendable texture that was lightly powdery in the pan but easy to work with on bare skin and had very little in the way of fallout. Dr. FinkelsteinDr. Finkelstein is a light-medium, bluish-purple with subtle, cool undertones and a sparkly finish. It had a drier, looser consistency that resulted in more semi-sheer to medium pigmentation that was hard to build up. What's ThisWhat’s This is a bright, deeper orange with moderate, warm undertones and barely-there flecks of gold micro-shimmer over a matte finish. It seemed to have less of a glow in its finish, even when blended out and diffused along the edges, compared to other shades in the range but was definitely more than matte. It had nearly opaque color payoff in one layer, so I had to use a lighter hand to pick up less product for sheerer, more buildable coverage as marketed. The texture was smooth to the touch, soft without being powdery, and a little firmer/thinner but not in a way that impeded the application. Formula Overview$21.00/0.08 oz. - $262.50 Per Ounce The formula is supposed to have a "natural, fresh-faced flush of color and a soft-focus glow" that features a "super buildable" formula. The texture was smooth to the touch, dense and a little firm but not stiff to work with; the balance of firmness ensured that it wasn't powdery. The pigmentation varied from shade to shade, and they were more high-medium to semi-opaque and buildable than a "silky wash." The lack of powderiness did make it easier to use a lighter hand to achieve truer, more buildable coverage if desired. The blushes had a more satin-like finish, which became more luminous as they were buffed and blended out on my skin, and I didn't have any issues applying them on bare skin or over foundation. It had more opaque pigmentation when applied with a fingertip and sheerer, more buildable coverage when applied with a synthetic brush, as marketed. I liked applying the formula with a fingertip and diffusing with the clean edge of a different fingertip, as the color spread well, wasn’t prone to lifting up base products, and was very forgiving. The consistency was emollient to the touch, but it was a thin, lightweight formula that turned to something more powder-like once it came into contact with skin. It stayed on nicely for nine and a half hours before fading a bit. * This shade was brought back for a limited time by ColourPop to celebrate Temptalia’s 15th anniversary. Top Dupes
