BibaNatasha Denona Biba Mini Eyeshadow Palette ($25.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a miniature flanker palette to Biba. The eyeshadows were pigmented, blendable, and easy enough to work with overall, though I found that Bruno was inconsistent in its application and sometimes was a little patchy despite trying to even it out. Bruno (417CM)Bruno (417CM) is a deep, reddish-brown with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, which was easily built up to full coverage if desired. The texture was smooth, velvety, and blendable, but I noticed that it seemed to be a little patchy when layered over the other shades in the palette, so while it sometimes applied just fine, other times it seemed to lift away from where I initially applied it. There were signs of fading present after nine hours of wear. FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent). Top Dupes
Formula Overview- The majority of the brand's eyeshadows are quite pigmented, blendable, and long-wearing. The eyeshadows have improved over time, particularly with respect to longevity (without a primer). The original formula often creased on me within seven to eight hours, whereas the more current formula wears eight to nine hours with fading (instead of full-on creasing). The more matte finishes tend to be a bit more velvety, substantial, and less dry/powdery compared to prior iterations. The metallic finish is often the creamiest, slightly denser in feel, but has excellent pigmentation, adhesion, and blendability. The sparkling shades can have some fallout, depending on how they're applied and how sparkly they are, so they sometimes work better with fingertips or a dampened brush; they can also run sheerer compared to other finishes. Cream-Powders are the more unique formulation and tend to have firmer, almost stiff, consistencies and more semi-opaque, watercolor-esque coverage. They are longer-wearing, but they can take a few uses to learn how to use. This formula has also improved compared to when it first debuted--it is a bit more yielding now. Blaze Nude (419M)Blaze Nude (419M) is a light-medium peachy-coral with warmer undertones and a shiny, metallic finish. It had mostly opaque, buildable pigmentation with a soft, more loosely-pressed texture that was lightly emollient to the touch and very readily picked up with a dry brush. I’d recommend using a flat brush to pick up product gently, press onto the lid, and then go back for more if desired as it could have light fallout if I wasn’t careful due to the softer press. It wore well for nine hours before fading visibly. FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent). Top Dupes

Plush (420CM)Plush (420CM) is a dark peach with warmer undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was soft, slightly powdery in the pan, but it was blendable and easy to work with on the lid as it wasn’t prone to fallout. Wink (421CP)Wink (421CP) is a soft, plummy brown with warmer undertones and a satin finish. It had a cream-powder formula, so it was denser, almost firm, in the pan, but it had light slip to it and picked up well with a dry brush. I had no problems applying and blending out the product on my lid, and it yielded full color coverage in one layer. There were signs of fading after nine and a half hours of wear.
